The width of container

I want to add layouts to my product gallery, such as “one” should have one product in a row, “two” should have two and etc.

I have made lists here, two and three lists, but that is not functional. I want containers aligned horizontally in a row inside a list for “two” gallery or “three”. For that, I need container’s width otherwise I can’t change the width of it unless I change the width of list. Is there any way to have width of a container?
